Title: Reviewing the First Term: What We’ve Achieved So Far As we enter the midway point of President Jokowi’s first term, it’s time to take a moment to reflect on what we’ve achieved so far. Here are some of the highlights from the past three years. Infrastructure Development One of the key priorities of the Jokowi administration has been to improve the country’s infrastructure. Over the past three years, we’ve seen significant progress in this area, with the completion of several major projects including toll roads, airports, and seaports. These improvements have not only made travel easier for Indonesians, but have also helped to boost the economy by making it easier for businesses to transport goods across the country. Economic Growth Despite the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic, Indonesia’s economy has continued to grow steadily over the past three years. In 2022, the country’s GDP is projected to reach 5.5%, up from 5.02% in 2021. This growth has been driven by a variety of factors, including increased investment in infrastructure, improvements in the business environment, and the growth of the digital economy. Social Welfare The Jokowi administration has also made significant progress in improving social welfare in Indonesia. One of the key initiatives in this area has been the expansion of the country’s social safety net programs, which provide financial assistance to low-income families. In addition, the government has also increased funding for education and healthcare, with the aim of improving access to these services for all Indonesians. Environmental Protection Another priority of the Jokowi administration has been to improve environmental protection in Indonesia. Over the past three years, we’ve seen a number of initiatives aimed at reducing pollution and protecting Indonesia’s natural resources. These include the introduction of a plastic bag ban in several cities, the establishment of protected marine areas, and the implementation of a program to plant 1 billion trees across the country. Foreign Relations Finally, the Jokowi administration has also made significant progress in improving Indonesia’s relations with other countries. Over the past three years, Indonesia has played an increasingly important role in regional and global affairs, with the country hosting several high-profile international events and taking an active role in promoting peace and stability in the region. Overall, the first term of President Jokowi has been marked by significant progress in a number of key areas. While there is still much work to be done, these achievements provide a strong foundation for continued growth and development in the years to come.
